RON95 Fuel Subsidy Fully Implemented 30 Sept
- The government will fully roll out the targeted RON95 fuel subsidy (BUDI95) on 30 Sept 2025.
- Eligible Malaysians can purchase RON95 at RM1.99/litre, capped at 300 litres monthly, with extra quota for e-hailing drivers. Others, including foreigners, pay about RM2.60/litre.
- No application is needed—the subsidy applies automatically at stations, pumps, and e-wallets.
- Rollout starts 27 Sept for military/police, 28 Sept for STR recipients, and 30 Sept for all citizens 16+ with a valid licence.
Stability Assurance Voucher 3.0 for STR Recipients
- From 1 September 2025, the government launched the Perlindungan Tenangan Voucher 3.0 (PTV 3.0). All recipients of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) cash aid are entitled to a RM30 voucher, which can be used to purchase insurance products worth RM50 or more, with beneficiaries paying only the balance of RM20.
- Eligibility can be checked at https://www.myptv.my/ using the identity card number.
JPN Introduces Online MyKad Replacement Service
- JPN confirms BUDI95 access will not be affected by damaged MyKad, as replacements can be applied for online.
- Service is limited to Malaysian citizens with chip or card damage; collection must be done in person with the old card.
- Not applicable for changes to address, religion, name, or photo.
- JPN operates Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.. From 23 Sept–7 Oct 2025, chip-damaged MyKad can be replaced free at counters. Online applications remain chargeable.
Solar ATAP Programme to Launch in December
- Launching 1 December 2025, the government will introduce the Solar ATAP Programme, allowing homes and businesses to install solar systems up to 100% of their energy needs and sell surplus power to the grid.
- Replacing the NEM scheme, it adopts real-time System Marginal Pricing (SMP) for market-based returns.
- Key features: stronger grid feedback, market-based settlement, and no installation limits—boosting investment returns and driving Malaysia’s renewable energy transition.
ASM3 Fund Announces Annual Distribution Rate of 4.75%
- ASM 3 Fund has declared a distribution of 4.75 sen per unit, equivalent to an annualized yield of about 4.75%.
- The payout will be reinvested into investors’ accounts as fund units on 1 October.
