New U.S Tariff Policy Takes Effect

To boost the domestic industry, the United States has announced new tariff hikes on various imported goods:

  1. Branded or patented pharmaceuticals: 100% tariff, with exemptions only for companies that have established or begun operations in the U.S.
  2. Heavy trucks: Tariffs raised to 25%
  3. Kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and upholstered furniture: 25% tariff
  4. Timber: 10% tariff
