LHDN and JPPH Officially Sign Strategic Cooperation Memorandum

On 18 December 2025, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) and the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH) signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The two agencies will share property valuation data to enhance the transparency and accuracy of property tax assessments.

Key Areas of Cooperation

  • Support the Self-Assessment System for Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT), effective 1 January 2025
  • Prepare for the phased implementation of the Stamp Duty Self-Assessment System, starting 1 January 2026
  • Promote integration of tax and valuation data, reducing manual intervention and enhancing compliance

LHDN Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Abu Tariq Jamaluddin, highlighted that this collaboration aims to digitalize public services and achieve a more efficient, transparent, and systematic tax management system.
