Under the Employment Insurance System (Amendment) Bill 2025, employers are required to comply with new reporting obligations:
1. Before Hiring:
Employers must notify SOCSO in writing regarding any job vacancy prior to hiring a new employee.
2.After Hiring:
Once the position is filled, employers must notify SOCSO within 7 days.
3. Penalty for Non-Compliance:
Employers who fail to comply may be fined up to RM10,000.
The official effective date has not yet been announced; await government notification.
