Free 20 cubic metres of water in Selangor now open for application
- Darul Ehsan Water Scheme is providing a free 20 cubic metres of water supply to every Selangor households with monthly income below RM5,000. Eligible households can apply for it and the scheme benefits will be expanded by the Selangor state government in future.
- Application conditions
- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens and lived in Selangor
- Family income less than RM5,000 per month (including spouse income)
- Residential premises with individual metre-type
- Application methods
- Apply online, or visit AirSelangor to download the application form. Fill it out and email to iprair@airselangor.com
- Fill in the paper form and submit form to Air Selangor’s office or Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat

Death Benefit Scheme for Families of BKM beneficiaries
- For all BKM beneficiaries who passed away in year 2022, their family members can claim a death pension of RM1,000 (Skim Khairat Kematian) from the government.
- Conditions
- Dependents must be partners, parents, children, siblings or grandchildren
- Dependents must bring the original or a copy of the death certificate issued by the JPJ, as well as documents that can prove the relationship between the deceased and the family (such as birth certificate, marriage certificate)
Maybank’s new authorisation methods
- Maybank has enabled its Secure2u verification method for FPX transactions. This measure will be effective on 6 December 2022. Furthermore, JomPAY can only be verified by using Secure2u, the SMS Tac are no longer available.
Touch N Go eWallet-linked Visa Card
- TNG will launch a brand new Visa prepaid card in December 2022! With this card, TNG eWallet users are able to make PIN or Wave payment at any merchant that accepts Visa card payment. Besides, users can withdraw cash from Visa ATM through this card as well! However, this card is not available for the highway toll payment.
Google Wallet is available in Malaysia
- Google has launched their digital payment method, Google Wallet, in Malaysia. With this Google Wallet, mobile phones are easily replacing the physical bank cards and users can make payment simply through their phone in the form of payWave! Users can download it in the application store and add the bank cards to Google Wallet, then make payment through Google Pay while spending in the store.

Mini budget will be tabled in December
- The new Prime Minister will table a mini budget in the 15th Parliament session on 19 December. The details of financial aid are expected to be announced in this Budget.
24 days of holidays for primary and secondary schools
- According to the Ministry of Education’s 2022 school schedule of classes and holidays, primary and secondary schools will enjoy a 24-day holidays from 9 December 2022.
