Malaysia to hold General Election on Nov 19
- The Election Commission of Malaysia has announced that the general election date will be held on November 19, and the campaigning period will continue for 14 days.
Date of the 15th General Election:
Nomination Day: Nov 5 (Sat)
Early Voting Day: Nov 15 (Tue)
Election Day: Nov 19 (Sat)
Voting hours have been extended for GE15
- The Election Commission of Malaysia has extended the voting time by an hour to make it more convenient for Malaysians fulfilling their duties in the voting process.
15th General Election Voting Time:
West Malaysia: 08.00 am – 06.00 pm
East Malaysia: 07.00 am – 05.30 pm
College students get 5 days’ leave for GE15
- The higher education ministry has announced that students in higher learning institutions (IPTs) will be given a 5 days’ leave starting from Nov 17 to 21 to return to their constituencies to vote for GE15. Furthermore, all school activities and classes will not be permitted during this period.
Selangor free RM10k insurance coverage scheme opens for registration
- The Selangor government has introduced and fully sponsored the free insurance scheme ‘The Insurans Hayat Selangor’ (INSAN) programme to reduce the burden on residents, and allowing them to enjoy insurance coverage up to RM10,000.
- Residents can complete the registration by using the Wavpay.

30 days from birth to age of 80 years old
