Delivery Riders & Passenger Drivers urged to contribute to SOCSO in October
  • The Self-Employment Social Security Scheme (SKSPS) 2.0 under the whitening programme by SOCSO, will be implemented from 1 October 2022 until 31 October 2022.
  • This programme is aimed at two sector self-employed individuals (OBS), which is passenger transportation sector and carriage or delivery of goods and food sector. This programme is  designed to encourage them to sign up and contribute to SOCSO, to enjoy social safety protection by SOCSO.
  • The self-employed individuals must register with 2 relevant departments and contribute to SKSPS. Violators are considered an offence (jailed for up to two years or fined RM10,000 or both).
New measure for online transactions authentication
  • According to the announcements made by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), bank industry need to migrate from SMS One Time Passwords (OTP) to a more secure authentication methods to validate online transactions.

Update your CIMB Clicks APP to the latest version before October 8th
  • In order to enhance the security of online banking, CIMB users must update their CIMB Clicks APP to the latest version through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before October 8th.

RM5 cashback for bill auto payment with TNG eWallet
  • TNG eWallet has launched a RM5 cash rebate promotion for bill auto payment until December 31 to encourage users to pay their bills through the app. The cash rebate will be credited to the user’s TNG eWallet account in the following 2 and 3 months after the bill is set up and paid. For example, if a user sets up and pays a bill in October, the cash rebate will be credited to the account in December and January respectively.

Requirements:

Bill payment must higher than RM50

Users must set as Bills Auto Payment

 

Attention:

⚠ You will not be able to enjoy the cash rebate if you unbind the Bills Auto Payment after paying the bill

⚠ Each user is only eligible for one cash rebate

⚠ The offer is only valid for the first 30,000 transactions

Prices of car tyre will be increased from October
  • Due to the increase in raw materials costs such as steel wire, transportation cost and labour cost, the price of car tyres will be increased from October. This will be the third increase since April and July of this year.
5 days of holidays for primary and secondary schools
  • According to the Ministry of Education’s 2022 school schedule of classes and holidays, primary and secondary schools will enjoy a 5-day Deepavali and special holidays from 21 October 2022. On the other hand, primary and secondary schools in Sarawak can only enjoy a one day holiday as Deepavali is not a public holiday in Sarawak.
  • Group A (Kedah, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu): October 21 (FRI) – October 25 (TUE)
