Didn’t display SSM Registration Name and Numbers on Company’s Social Media/Website will Penalty RM5000！

Recently many companies impose fines of RM5,000 because their company’s social media/website didn’t display their SSM registration name and numbers!

According to Companies Act 2016 Section 30, the company must display its company’s SSM registration number and name at:

  • Company registered address
  • The place/platform where the company’s business is carried on
  • The place where its book are kept

 

This means the company’s corporate websites or social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) must display its SSM registration number and name! Otherwise, the company will impose fines of RM5000!

 

To ensure compliance and avoid potential fines, please promptly check and update your company website and all social media accounts！
