KWSP Launches Official WhatsApp Channel
  • The Employees Provident Fund (KWSP) launched its official WhatsApp channel (03-8922 6000) on 8 August 2025.
  • The channel provides a guided menu, AI replies, and live support for checking contributions, withdrawals, and applications. KWSP stresses it will never request sensitive details and users should verify the official blue checkmark.
  • AI services are available 24/7, while live agents are only available during office hours, Monday to Friday.
Government Urges Citizens to Register for MyDigital ID
  • Citizens are encouraged to register promptly, as MyJPJ and MyBayar PDRM will gradually require login via MyDigital ID.
  • Over 3 million users have registered, with the system already in use across 45 public and private platforms. The government is considering legislation to mandate nationwide adoption for a unified digital identity.
ASM2 Wawasan Declares Dividend of 4.75sen per unit
  • ASM 2 Wawasan will distribute 4.75 sen per unit, equal to a 4.75% annualized return. The RM1.18 billion payout benefits over 980,000 unitholders.
  • Net income reached RM1.24 billion as of 25 August 2025. Distributions, based on investors’ average minimum monthly balance, will be reinvested as new units on 1 September.
  • Transactions will be suspended on 30–31 August, resuming online on 1 September and at branches/agents on 2 September.
RM2,400 Rebate for Locally Assembled Electric Motorcycles
  • Under the Electric Motorcycle Rebate Scheme (Skim Galakan Penggunaan Motosikal Elektrik), eligible Malaysians (annual income ≤ RM120,000) can receive a RM2,400 subsidy when purchasing a locally assembled (CKD) e-motorcycle.
  • There are at least 20 models available, with prices starting from RM3,999 — which drops to below RM1,600 after rebate.

1.10sen/kWh Rebate on September Electricity Bills
  •  According to TNB, the September Automatic Fuel Adjustment (AFA) is set at 1.10 sen/kWh rebate, applicable to households consuming over 600kWh. Users below 600kWh remain exempted from AFA.
  • AFA is adjusted monthly based on fuel price fluctuations. Rates were 0 sen in July, 1.45 sen rebate in August, 1.10 sen rebate in September, and are projected between 1.06 – 2.88 sen rebate from October to December, subject to TNB’s official updates.
