Everything you need to know about BUDI95

Starting on 30th September 2025, approximately 16 million Malaysian citizens will be eligible to purchase RON95 fuel at the subsidized price of RM1.99 per litre.
The subsidy can be accessed simply by verifying your identity with your IC at the petrol station.

BUDI95 Summary：

1. New Updated Pricing for RON95

  • For non-Malaysian residents or those that did not bring their IC: RM2.60/L
  • Foreign-registered vehicles are still not allowed to purchase RON95, solely RON97 or higher grades may be purchased.

2. Monthly Purchase Limit

  • Every Malaysian citizens are only allowed to purchase up to 300L/Month, exceeding amount of fuel will be purchased without the subsidy, which is RM2.60/L
  • E-Hailing & P-Hailing drivers get to enjoy the subsidy without any limitations.

3. Phased rollout

  • 27th September ➝ Police & Military
  • 28th September ➝ STR beneficiaries (B40 & partial M40)
  • 30th September ➝ Open to all Malaysian citizens

4. Verification Method

Simply insert your IC (MyKad) to complete the identity verification, then you will be eligible to purchase RON95 with the subsidized price.

5. Other notes

  • Ensure your IC’s chip is functioning properly before visiting the petrol station.
  • If your IC’s chip is damaged, you may replace it at JPN for free during the period between 23rd Sept 2025 to 7th Oct 2025.
