Some of the task he has undertaken during his tenure in these posts include performing external audit, computation of personal and company income tax, tax planning for various industry, preparation of financial reporting, application of custom facilities for manufacturing industry, setting up of business entities for multi-national companies, marketing, recruitment and selection, implementation of accounting software, conducting customer satisfaction surveys, preparation of directors/members minutes, organizing annual general meeting and training on account departments.

He is convinced that stable financial reporting is the key elements for organization for succeed in today’s business environment. The healthy audited financial report is essential for organizations to obtain financing in order to develop as well as to fulfill the organization’s obligation as a tax payer. Besides, costing is essential part of the business management as well as to internal control within organizations.

His area of expertise is to develop the company’s internal capacity through its people and to effectively sustain itself in the long term as well as to comply with legal requirements, well-planning for tax and maximizing tax efficiency by applying various of government facilities and grants. In view of this, he is dedicated to train and share his knowledge in the accounting profession for related personnel and those having to set up new business in local areas.

Besides, Kong Yang is actively involved in participation of non-government organisation (NGOs) and other business associations. He was the president of BNI Winners (The largest BNI chapter in Malaysia) in 2017. He joined the member of Junior Chamber International (JCI), SME Association of South Johor (SMEJS), Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia (PUMM) since 2018 and Vistage since 2017. He was elected as the president for JCI JBE 2020, immediate past president for JCI JBE 2021, and also JCIM national growth & development commission chairman in 2021.

Kongyang has conducted training for various business sectors, including food & beverages, manufacturing, services, trading, construction and Junior Chamber International.
