Increment of Petrol and Diesel Incentive

• The government may increase the incentive for RON 95 petrol and diesel, from RM1.05 per liter to RM1.15 per liter. Hence, the price for RON 95 petrol might reduce from RM2.05 to RM1.95.

PBe Web Version Will No Longer Support the Older Version Browser

• In order to increase user safety, Public Bank will restrict the PBe web users login via older version web browsers starting 1 August. The affected browsers shall included:
  • Google Chrome version prior to 109
  • Mozilla Firefox version prior to 109
  • Microsoft Edge version prior to 109
  • Opera version prior to 94.

The Phase 2 of FSA2 May be Started in August

• Application of KWSP FSA2 phase 2 is expected to begin in August. It allows the members to apply for a loan via their EPF account 2 savings. Compared to phase 1, the phase 2 of FSA2 allows members under 40 years old to apply. Currently, the participating banking institutions are BSN and MBSB only.

RM300 of Flight Ticket Incentive for Public University Students

• The MOT has announced that the public university students will get a RM300 flight ticket incentive via credit form starting from 15 August. This incentive is provided to the students who travel between East Malaysia and Peninsular Malaysia and will expire on 31 October. Participating Airlines include Malaysia Airline, Airasia, Malindo Air, Firefly and MYAirline. 

TnG Introduce the GOremit Feature

• TnG has introduced a new feature for overseas transfer, which is called GOremit. Currently, GOremit supports up to 10 countries, including Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Users will need to pay a RM10 for services charges of the transfer. The transfer limit depends on the users’ level, where Pro level can transfer up to RM5,000 per transaction, while Premium level can transfer up to RM9,999.99 per transaction.

ASNB Lifts the ASM Individual Investment Limit

• ASNB has increased ASM fund size but set an investment limit to RM100,000 per individual until 31 July. In August, the ASM fund was predicted to be bulk purchased by the investors once the investment limit was lifted.
