 RM100 Government e-Wallet Incentives 

The RM100 e-wallet credit by the government will be distributed in December, which is expected to benefit 10 million people. Public will be able to get this e-cash only if they fulfill the following conditions:

  • Annual income not exceeding RM100,000
  • A Malaysian adult

Public Bank Launches New Mobile App
  • Public Bank has launched MyPB App to bring their users a more secure and personalized banking experience. The new apps is available at Play Store and AppStore with mobile operating system requirements of Android 11 and iOS 14 and above.

 

  • Although the PB engage App is still available to use, users are encouraged to switch to the new apps for better experience.
New version of myASNB APP
  • According to ASNB, the latest version of myASNB APP is officially launched and users can upgrade to the latest version of the APP now.

 

  • The new version of myASNB APP supports more features including Secure TAC function, app pop up notification, verification function and more.
AffinAlways App Verification for Affin Bank Transaction
  • Affin Bank’s users are required to use AffinAlways App for verification and validation when conducting online banking transactions.

 

  • Hence, users are urged to download and register the AffinAlways APP, if not, he/she will not be able to perform any bank transfer transactions.
Government Plans to Review Water Tariff in Next Year
  • According to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the government plans to review water tariff in all states of the country in early 2024.

 

  • However, the Minister assured public that adjustment of water tariff will be minimal and will not add to the burden of living of the people.
Cross-Border Transaction is Allowed via DuitNow
  • Currently, cross-border transactions between Singapore and Malaysia can be easily made via DuitNow and PayNow. Public can simply make a transaction via the recipient’s mobile number, but the transaction amount is limited to RM3,000 or SGD1,000.

 

  • Financial institutions joined in this programme now include CIMB bank, Maybank and Touch ‘n Go e-wallet.
