What is COVID-19 Special Assistance (BKC)?
BKC is a new government subsidy announced in June which aiming to mitigate the cost of living and burden of poor hardcore, B40 and M40 during the Covid-19 pandemic.

- [Poor hardcore] Household: RM1,300 (August-RM500, November-RM500, December-RM300)
- [Poor hardcore] Individuals: RM500 (August-RM200, November-RM300)
- B40 household: RM800 (August-RM500, December-RM300)
- B40 individuals: RM200 (Payment made in August)
- M40 household: RM250 (Payment made in August)
- M40 individuals: RM100 (Payment made in August)
No application required. Government will distribute the subsidy based on the JKM, BPR and LHDN databases.
- Poor hardcore and B40: Family income below RM5,000, or single individual’s income below RM2,500.
- M40: Family income within RM5,001 to RM9,000, or single individual’s income within RM2,501 to RM5,000.
- Poor hardcore & B40: Via their registered bank account at BPR
- M40: Via their registered bank account at LHDN
