Cross-Bank ATM Withdrawals No Longer Charged RM1 Fee
Starting 1 July 2026, Malaysians will no longer be charged the RM1 cross-bank withdrawal fee when using other banks’ ATMs or self-service terminals (SRM) for cash withdrawals.
According to the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM), the exemption applies nationwide across all banks.

Malaysia Introduces 10-Year Passport with RM350 Application Fee
Malaysia has officially introduced a 10-year international passport, giving Malaysians the option to choose between a 5-year or 10-year validity period. The new 10-year passport costs RM350, while the 5-year passport remains at RM200.
Senior citizens aged 60 and above can enjoy a 50% discount, paying only RM175, while persons with disabilities (OKU) are exempted from the application fee.
